Last Day of School! Hurray!!

Today was Amanda's last day of school.  She was so happy that she finally finished first grade.

Last Week of School 2013-2014

This week is the last week of Amanda's school.  She just can't wait to finish.  She has been getting off early about 12:00 P.M.

Barbecue Party

On May 23, 2014, Amanda had a barbecue party at her elementary school.   She asked me to volunteer and I did.  I got there around 10:00 a.m. and helped out to set up for the party.  They had hamburgers, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, cookies, a lot more desserts.  Amanda had a lot of fun.  The party ended around 1:00 p.m., and then, Amanda went to her Adventure party.  This party only assisted children who earned all the blue ribbons, 125 AR points, and

Awards Assembly

On May 22, 2014,  Amanda received several awards for the final trimester such as:

1. Perfect attendance
2. Earning 55 Blue Ribbons
3. Earning 108 AR points but she earned 322 annual AR Point
5. A certificate of Achievement
6. Achievement of standards Honor Roll

Week of May 19, 2014

On Monday May 19, 2014, your daddy picked you up around 4:45 p.m while I was doing my school.  You guys went to his apartment and spend time together.

St. John Spring Festival

On Saturday May 17, 2014, First of all it was Amanda's daddy's birthday.   We got up early and  called him to sing happy birthday to him.  Then around 1:00 p.m., we went to the Carnival to have lunch.  Amanda rode some of the rides and then we left around 2:30 p.m.  I told her that we would come back in the afternoon when the sun was less hot.

Around 5:30 p.m., we came back to the carnival.  We ate something first and then, Amanda started riding some rides.  Her best friend Natalie Ochoa came to the fair with her mommy around 6:30 p.m.  The both girls had so much fun together.

We left the fair around 10:30 p.m.  Natalie came with us because she stayed over night 

Week of May 12 to May 18

On Monday May 12, Amanda gave me a good news.  She got green dot because she got a 100% in her math test.  She said that when she move her nave to the green spot, she was screaming in her head because she knew I would get very happy.  You were right baby.  I am very proud of you.  I love you.

On Wednesday May 14, la senora Zulema picked Amanda up from school at 12:45 and kept her until 2:30 p.m. when I picked her up.  After that, we went to visit my Mamma because

On Thursday May 15, we went to St. John Carnival Spring Fiesta.

Mother's Day

On Sunday May 11, 2013, Amanda gave me a Mother's Day card that she made with her own hands.  she also made at school a magnetic picture for the refrigerator.  But also she had already given me during the week a ring and a bracelet.  I am very fortunate to have a very thoughtful daughter.

During the day, we spend the entire day together doing errands and plays Barbies while we were doing our errands.  Amanda really enjoys playing with me.  I love you mommi.  You are the best thing it happened to me.  I thank God that He gave me his most wonderful angle from Heaven.

5 De Mayo Week

On Monday May 5, Amanda went to school like always.  We actually did not stay at the library like we usually do.  We just came back home.  Her Daddy came to pick her around 6:30 p.m.  They went to have dinner to Spaghetti Factory restaurant in Monrovia.  Amanda was very happy that got to spend some time with her daddy.

On Tuesday May 6 was Teacher Appreciation.  Amanda got a little present for her teacher and decorated a gift bag herself.  I thought that was cute.

On Wednesday May 7 2014, it was Amanda's Open House at 5:00 P.M. We left to her Open House and Amanda was very excited.  Here are some of the picture of that day.

After Spring Break

Amanda came back to school.  She was not very happy about it.  However, I told her that she has exactly one more month of school and then she will be off for the Summer.  She brought back her composition about insects

On April 30, 2014, when I picked up Amanda at her school, she gave me a couple of presents.  A ring and a bracelet.  I thought this was so thoughtful about her that she made emotional.  I held her and kissed her so much.  She told me that she loves me very much and that would never leave me.  We'll see.

On May 1, 2014, Amanda had her insect project presentation.  She said she did very well.
